With her high heel against the wall
Kind of dancing, though not at all
She had stockings running up to her thighs
Snaps her fingers to keep the time
From the back of the room I saw her there
I said she wants to be alone and I shouldn't dare
But then she noticed me glance at her
I had no choice but to dance with her

i've got a hobby called killing time; most of the time, i'm killing myself a little inside [11 Feb 2006|05:58pm]
went and seen the new woody allen flick "match point" started slow, but turned out to be a pretty impressive showing.. which reminded me, i need to marry rich and buy a shotgun.

work is good.. but nothing good lasts, so i'm waiting. like a lover confessing misfortunes, it seems inevitable that shit will certainly hit the fan. all this skating along, all these un-wanting eyes, i'm going to start wearing shades. i don't want to give anything away, i don't want the masquerade to end. but then again, maybe a voice and a smile is all you need to understand success..

my days are backwards, just like my thoughts.. from the second i wake up, i count everything. shades, drops, cars, heads, miles.. seconds, minutes, hours, days, years.. there's always a pattern to falling apart. i'm computing the distance between one moment in your life and another. the space between those irreplaceable first steps towards relating, and the moments after when you're wondering what's so sensual about murder.

funny how you can learn to love everything you hate.. how light could not exist without darkness, how death thrives off of life. how the woman you love and hold tight one night, can be the same girl you've dismembered and buried at the bottom of lake erie. the bands that you loved years ago are the same bands you're ashamed to admit you've heard of as you walk through your local shopping malls.. how you can hate every person you've ever met, and still hope to meet somebody different, somebody else.. i count the keystrokes as each paragraph grows a little more in depth, but i can end with this, it's better to fade away than to be another dead singer getting your props from an over hyped wigger with a keyboard, still.. god bless elliott smith and all the whores that help me relate.

I'm not looking for a lover
All those lovers are liars
I'd never lie to you
You say you wanna get even
Yeah you wanna get your bad man good
Well, are you in the mood?
You bad girl
Does it feel good
Being bad? and get worse
do-do do-do do-do do-do

But in the morning
On the sliver dawn of sunday
You're not sure what you have done
Who told you love was fleeting
Sometimes men can be so misleading
To take what they need from you
Whatever you need to make you feel
Like you've been the one behind the wheel
The sunrise is just over that hill
The worst is over
Whatever I said to make you think
That loves the religion of the weak
This morning we love like weaklings
The worst is over

The worst is over

blog blog blog rah rah rah no one reads this shit anyways [08 Jan 2006|10:43am]
had a shitty factory job out in milan for a little bit, making airbag chutes for honda civics.. and yes, i fucked up as many as possible, fucking fagged out little wiggers and their fast & furious lifestyles.. hopefully they won't survive their ride home from pete's garage =)

landed a sweet office job at the university of michigan, i can't believe they actually pay you more to sit around on a computer all day than to stand in an assembly line.. i guess life on my own's been so good, so far.. it turns out my uncle is drinking again and staying back with his ex-wife, so i don't think he'll be moving in with me, which means bills, bills, bills.. but i guess it's worth it to not have to sit around with a dying alcoholic waiting for that day he just doesn't wake up

seen hostel last night, all i have to say is.. well first, don't ever.. EVER, go see a movie at regal cinemas, it's like a mix of wiggers and niggers (no offense cassi, seriously, i didn't make the word up) and a few mid 20s queers still rocking the abercrombie and i'm a fag look, then a couple preteen-i just discovered i'm hxc by buying the new atreyu and avenged sevenfold cds.. which whatever, i try to stick to my own, but when every mother fucker in the theatre has to text message their best friend every 20 seconds, you realize this town produces the shittiest people in the world.. obsessed with outdated trends and boring attempts at fashion, i don't know.. i can't help but want to decapitate every mother fucker i see, seriously.. no, just joking, maybe just slit their throats =)

anyways, whatever that was.. hostel's pretty solid, lots of nudity, lots of drug use, lots of gore, good storyline.. everything falls into place rather nicely, it's fun seeing a decent horror flick in between these spurts of scream spin offs and teeny bopper pg-13 with a cheesy twist bullshit, i'd say it's up there with the devils rejects with creativity and entertainment value, not similar in style but well worth the 50 bucks it costs to go to the movies these days

(slaughter).. sorry i didn't call you back yesterday, kicked the old lady out, she packed all her shit and had her parents come and get it, then a few hours later we were.. well we made up, teehee.. i'm down to lift today or tomorrow just call me when you get up

to all my other friends (nick) i tried calling you the other day after we drove around, couldn't get ahold of a nigga, get at me dawg.. we can get drunk and bitch about our lady friends V

and to the rest of you (sluts and whores) listen to pavement, because they are old and jam.. just like me

oh yeah, and my thought of the day.. our governments like your friend with a really small penis that has to keep reminding everyone how well hung they are.. it's like every moment of your life from the day you're born, you're reminded that you're in the best country in the world.. i guess we should all just work hard at jobs we hate, paying for things we don't need, and die happy knowing that we've supported a government that's murdered so many people for no real reason at all.. and why does it seem like marines are just the dorky rotc kids that finally discovered alcohol these days, no offense, but i thought they were supposed to come out looking like randy orton or some shit.. the end

I am these movies [28 Dec 2005|12:53pm]
This one is something a friend of mine said to me. "You have to believe that life is more than the sum of its parts, kiddo." I remember it right now to the "kiddo" part. But when I think about what she said, the same thing always comes into my head. What if you can't put the pieces together in the first place?

The worst part is knowing that there is goodness in people. Mostly it stays deep down and buried. Maybe we don't believe in God because we're scared of the bad stuff. Maybe we're really scared of the good stuff. Because if there's no God, well, that means it's inside of us and we could be good all the time if we wanted. So when we do bad things, it'd be because we want to or because we have to. Or maybe we just need the bad stuff to remind us what the good stuff is in the first place.

It covers my eyes. It's all I can see. Say there's some kids playing baseball. All I see is the one kid they won't let play because he tells corny jokes. And no-one thinks they're funny. Or I see a boy and a girl in love and kissing, you know. I just see that they're gonna be one of those sad old couples one day who just cheats on each other and can't even look at each other in the eye. And I feel it. I feel all of their sadness. I feel it probably even worse than that sad old couple or that corny kid will ever feel it.

And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

Maybe it makes sense now. Maybe somewhere in all of this there's a reason. Maybe somewhere in all of this there's a why. Maybe somewhere there's that thing that lets you tie it all up with a neat bow and bury it in the backyard. But nothing, not getting angry, not prayers, and not tears, nothing can make something that happened unhappen.

movie reviews [08 Apr 2005|04:52pm]
"Sin City" (2005)

Critics Reviews Average Grade: B

Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bob Longino
"...visually intoxicating..." C+
Boston Globe, Ty Burr
"...a stunning, visceral piece of work -- cheap thrills polished to the level of high art." A-
Chicago Sun-Times, Roger Ebert
"This isn't an adaptation of a comic book, it's like a comic book brought to life and pumped with steroids." A
Chicago Tribune, Michael Wilmington
"...a movie of such high style, done in such a spirit of electrifying fun and creativity, that it kisses the blood right off its own violent hands." A-

My Review

Overall grade: C+
Story: B-
Acting: C
Direction: C
Visuals: B+

Bottom line: If you're a comic book fan by any means, you'll absolutely adore this movie, if you love the kill bill series, you'll probably love this movie.. but personally, not my cup of tea, all hype, no heart, just my personal opinion, still much better than the average garbage out in the theatres

"Hostage" (2005)

Critics Reviews Average Grade: C+

Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bob Longino
"Much of the drama is wrung so hard the film borders on the ridiculous." D+
Boston Globe, Ty Burr
"Six months from now, it'll look fine on Cinemax at midnight." C+
Chicago Sun-Times, Roger Ebert
"...an intimate visual style that keeps us claustrophobically close to the action..." B
Chicago Tribune, Michael Wilmington
"...the payoff collapses." B-

My Review

Overall grade: C
Story: C-
Acting: C
Direction: C-
Visuals: C+

Bottom line: Everything about this film is decent, but that's about it, and watching, I knew it wasn't that good of a movie, but still found myself very entertained with how badass Bruce Willis actually is.. if you're any type of Bruce Willis fan, this is another classic action flick, plenty of violence, a few twists, this movie is just a solid action flick, nothing glamorous but well worth the 7 dollars I coughed up to watch it, I don't think this movie was neccessarily better than Sin City, but I enjoyed watching it more just because it built characters better and really gave you someone you could root for

"The Ring Two" (2005)

Critics Reviews Average Grade: C+

Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bob Longino
"...the good acting and the eerie scares overshadow the film's multiple plot holes." B-
Boston Globe, Wesley Morris
"The movie's torpid pacing and blocks of dead space will leave plenty of time for a bored and frustrated audience to yell obscenities at the screen." C-
Chicago Sun-Times, Roger Ebert
"The charm of The Ring Two, while limited, is real enough; it is based on the film's ability to make absolutely no sense, while nevertheless generating a real enough feeling of tension a good deal of the time." B-
Chicago Tribune, Michael Wilmington
"...despite some impressive technical achievements, it too looks like a movie with little reason for being." C+

My Review

Overall grade: D-
Story: D-
Acting: C-
Direction: F
Visuals: C+

Bottom line: This is a good movie to take a girl to if you're trying to make your move, because there is no way it can hold anyones attention for longer than 15 minutes.. unfortunately, I wasn't trying to make my move, I was bored and blew twenty dollars just to leave the house and go see this garbage, but no regrets, it was stupid enough to find quite humorous at times

drink yourself into slow-mo [19 Mar 2005|03:58am]
[ mood | despondent ]

..it was a straight faced lie i believed
nothing ever really means anything
i don't remember breaking up
maybe i died a long time ago
i was one of those kids you cried over and then slowly forgot their name
maybe it's a sick fantasy
metal hitting pavement
finding my body somewhere in between..

i'm going to play this new game, where you pretend that every moment of your life up to this point never happened, right now, i don't even exist, and tomorrow night, i'm not going to for hopefully a handful of reasons, it's okay to fuck things up when you don't even exist, but sunday, i think sunday will be the first day of my life, a fresh start to fuck everything up again, except this time i'm going to do it the right way, in foreign towns, with my flask in one hand and my girl in the other

..tomorrow we drink
to forget about the women we've loved
and love the women we've forgot about..
